Chalk the Park 2026
November 5-7
Chalk the Park is a free, family-friendly chalk art festival and competition that will transform Kaleidoscope Park into a colorful open-air gallery.
Professional artists, local artists, students, and community members will create temporary chalk artwork in designated areas throughout the Park. Guests will have the opportunity to see the completed artwork, meet participating artists, take photos, enjoy hands-on art activities, and vote for their favorite piece through the People’s Choice competition.
Artists
Participating artists will be allowed to work in the Park on Thursday and Friday prior to the event, as well as throughout the day on Saturday. All chalk artwork must be family friendly – no explicit or political art will be allowed. All artwork must be completed by 3:00 PM on Saturday, when the event officially opens to the public.
Artists who apply to participate will submit a sample of their work.
After you apply, we'll be in contact to let you know if you've been selected or not. Selected artists will receive additional details regarding check-in, assigned spaces, event logistics, and timing will be sent during the week leading up to the event. We will provide buckets and kneepads, as well as a hospitality tent with snacks and drinks for you.
Judging and Awards
A jury will select the winners for three judged award categories.
The People’s Choice Award will be determined by votes from guests attending the event in the Park and the winner will receive a trophy. Awards will be presented during the intermission of the evening concert, with announcements made leading into the concert that night.
